CEC Approved Retailer

As of February 2018, Mode has raised the bar to become Tasmania’s first entirely local signatory to the CEC Solar Retailer Code of Conduct.

Clean Energy Council (CEC) Solar Retailer Code of Conduct

The CEC Solar Retailer Code of Conduct is a non-prescribed voluntary code of conduct that seeks to promote best-practice measures and activities for businesses selling solar photovolatic (PV) systems in Australia.

This code is the only Solar Industry code of conduct authorised by the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission).

Approved Retailers

As one of Tasmania’s 5 current CEC Approved Retailers, Mode will submit to regular auditing by the CEC to ensure compliance with the strict requirements of the Code.

The purpose of becoming a CEC Approved Retailer was to provide our customers with tangible assurance of our commitment to quality, and to help increase standards within the solar industry more generally.

In many ways achieving this accreditation simply involved a formalisation of what Mode has been doing since we first began operating in 2005 – providing our customers with reliable products and courteous, ethical service.
